Science - Irreversible reactions. We have been learning about materials and their properties. We have also been learning what it is like to be a scientists and how to work scientifically. This week we did an experiment to find out what product (new material) is created when mixing the reactants, milk and vinegar. We found out that casein plastic is created and we investigated what it was used for in the early 1900s. Do you know what it was used for?
We have really enjoyed our cooking this term...
In Science we have been learning about materials and their properties. On Tuesday 13th November we completed an experiment which investigated which materials dissolved. We looked at how to write up a scientific experiment and observed our results carefully.
On Wednesday 6th November we went to Tyntesfield to experience what it was like to live in Victorian times. We had a chance at acting like a servant: polishing silver and wearing their outfits. We also got to find out what it was like to write like a Victorian using a dip pen.
This term we will take it in turns to cook a chilli and learnt about the importance of healthy eating
