Every year we have a whole school retreat and each class attend a Retreat Day each big term

This is a chance for the children to deepen their prayer life, learn about the Liturgical seasons and religious stories in greater detail through Art and Music, and take part in adoration. So far children have made a variety of things, such as Prayer journals.

Thank you to Caroline Price who leads the class retreat days along with the Sisters Servants of the Holy Ghost at the convent by Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Our whole school retreat to Westonbirt Arboretum 23/10/19 - we began our day with a collective worship on the Beatitudes to help us to learn about our class Beatitude. Year 6 then led us in a class collective worship based on our class Beatitude. They made posters to help us understand the Beatitude and we responded to Matthew 5:1-12 in a variety of ways, such as passing a leaf around our class circle and sharing one thing we will try to do to help fulfill our Beatitude.

Chaplaincy Retreat with Newman Partnership schools led by Ann Fowler. We focussed on what we could learn from Cardinal Newman who will be canonised into a saint on 13th October 2019. We then thought about a plan for the year for our chaplaincy groups.

Year 2 retreat to Our Lady of the Rosary Convent

Year 4 joint retreat at St Edyth's Church, Seamills with St Bernard's and St Teresa's. The focus was the Year of Prayer and Climate Change. One group had the opportunity to do some meditation with Caroline Price, a workshop on the Our Father with Miss Bradley, a Climate Change workshop led by St Bernard's and a session on prayer led by St Teresa's.
