Science
At Our Lady of the Rosary RC VA Primary, we are committed to making Science engaging, meaningful and accessible for all our pupils. Through carefully planned lessons, children develop curiosity about the world around them and learn to ask questions, make predictions and carry out simple investigations safely. We encourage children to build strong scientific vocabulary, record observations clearly and explain what they have found out using evidence. Our curriculum supports progression across key stages, helping pupils understand key concepts in biology, chemistry and physics, while also developing practical skills such as measuring, observing patterns and working collaboratively. We work closely with families to reinforce learning at home, so children can continue to enjoy Science beyond the classroom and build confidence as they explore, discover and learn.
