Celebrating the Liturgical Year

The Liturgical Year at Our Lady of the Rosary

Each year we celebrate:

Our Lady of the Rosary Feast Day - 7th October

Year 2 lead us in a special Mass celebration. Our Collective Worship also focuses on the different mysteries and the meaning of the Rosary. We have a beautiful display showing the Holy Rosary:

CAFOD Harvest Fast Day

Miss Bradley, who works with CAFOD, led our assembly for CAFOD Family Fast Day to help raise awareness for CAFOD's work. We had a non-uniform day where we could wear accessories to 'Brighten Up' our school uniform. We also brought in lots of food for our local Bristol North West Foodbank.

Lent and Holy Week:

As we are unable to meet as a whole school, we will remember the Easter Triduum by Living Lent. This involved each class learning about one aspect of Lent and Holy week and sharing their learning in a video. Please watch it to find out more:

Please watch our short video about the Lenten artwork we have produced as part of our Living Lent RE topic.Thank you to all those involved in making it!

As part of Lent, we also raised £816.46 for CAFOD World Gifts. Thank you so much to all our parents for your very generous donations!

Crowning of Mary:

In May we dedicate the month to Our Lady, Mary. We began the month with a special collective worship led by Year 3 which was filmed and shared on ClassDojo. Thank you to Year 3 for your beautiful Collective Worship.

Pentecost:

We will have a whole school Pentecost celebration outside on Monday 24th May. This will be our first chance to gather as a school and we are very excited!
