Each year the school celebrates Children's Mental Health Week and has invited outside agencies such as Chatterminds to deliver strategies to both children and staff.
The school also has an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) trained member of staff who works with key pupils or small groups of children. The training covers aspects such as social skills, emotions, bereavement, social stories and therapeutic stories, anger management, self-esteem, counselling skills such as solution focus and friendship. These areas all help to improve the well being and mental health of our pupils. Yoga and meditation is also taught in order to help your child develop strategies for life.
