SCHOOL DAY
The school is open to pupils from 8.45am onwards. Pupils come straight into the school and settle down ready to start the school day at 8.55am.
Starts : 8:55am
Break : 10:40 – 10.55am
Lunch : 12:30 – 1:30pm
Ends : 3:15pm
Please ensure that your child arrives at school between 8:45am and 8:55am, and is collected promptly at the end of the school day.
We are required to record all absences as either authorised or unauthorised. If your child is away from school please notify us on the first day of absence. If a child arrives late for school after the register has been closed this is recorded as an unauthorised absence.
Occasionally children fall ill during the school day. It is important that we have at least one up to date contact number which will enable us to get in touch with you quickly.
If you have to collect, or see, your child during the course of the school day please report to the school office when you arrive.
At the end of the school day, children in Reception and Year 1 will be collected from outside the class door at the front of the school. Year 2 will be collected from the main front entrance. For Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 please wait for your child in the playground at the back of the school. For reasons of safety and security please do not wait for your child inside the school buildings. The older children are reminded not to leave the playground without a responsible adult and should return to the school building if an adult is not there to meet them.
If your child is going home with another parent or grandparent, please notify the school office so that we can ensure the safety of your child. If we are not notified and someone else comes to collect, we will phone you to confirm this arrangement.

If you would like your child to walk home on their own, please write a letter to the school office confirming this.
